DUMP is a video projection that talks about the overall malaise in the business world.
DUMP introduces the image of the 'fallen' business man. The eminent business man in his suit desperately trying to keep up his appearances, is a recurrent figure in the work of Kris Verdonck. The man is lying in a corner of the frame - like a a wrinkled handkerchief - unable to retain his respectable demeanor.DUMP is a straightforward metaphor of a spurned man, fallen from the social ladder. Like someone who lost his entire fortune in a stock market crash, got rejected by the system, and fails to realise what situation he ended up in, in DUMP we meet a creature in need, completely and utterly vulnerable.
