Open Call for STAGES#3 is out now, this will be the 3rd edition of the annual residency programme organised by iMAL and A Two Dogs Company (ATDC). DARK is a new performance by Kris Verdonck / A Two Dogs Company about artificial intelligence and artificial presence. In this production Verdonck continues his exploration of the tension between presence and absence, real and fake, human and technology, and all this in times of AI.

Elevations is an installation inspired by dub techno, a musical genre that originated in Berlin in the 1990s. Dub-techno crosses minimal techno with Jamaican dub, from which it derives the use of massive delay effects.

After the executions of a combustion engine in Ghent, Vienna and Bolzano, EXHAUST is coming to Molenbeek as part of MolenFest - Molenbeek for Brussels 2030.

Welcome to the world premiere of EXHAUST / Ajax: the execution of the very last internal combustion engine. The explosion of the heart of a monstrous truck. The death row inmate is pulled by his judges on a cart. In front of the NTGent main hall, the sentence is read and carried out. The combustion engine is sacrificed on the altar of ecological catastrophe.

For BRASS #2, Maxime Denuc created a new sound work for Kris Verdonck’s performative installation BRASS. BRASS is a ghost orchestra. Three sousaphones play by themselves and appear to be hoovering in space.

Is what we see really what it seems? In BOGUS I, four large-scale inflatables appear and disappear, like a jack-in-the-box. They are the ghost of growth, industry, entertainment and destruction. The performative scenography for a disappearing humanity, and the traces that remain.

The sculptures in the series ENTITIES are performative machines, objects that move by virtue of their own independent energy source. They perform without any interaction or connection with people. These autonomous mobiles are powered by solar, wind or residual heat energy and follow the rhythm of the natural element that sets them in motion.

What's in an artwork? is the third in the series of HISK alumni exhibitions and highlights the versatility and diversity of the alumni. Curator Bert Ghysels titles the exhibition What's in an artwork? in analogy with the expression 'what's in a name'.

EXTRACTIONS 22 is an exhibition that brings together different artists who work along the themes of extraction and landscapes. The selection of installations, new and mixed media, photographs, paintings, drawings, sculptures, performances and music, sketches an image of humankind that seems to have no other choice than to exploit its environment.
