A Two Dogs Company offers several technical-dramaturgical residencies each year to support younger and mid-career artists in developing the technical dimensions of their work. We combine hands-on technical development with dramaturgical and content-related dialogue.
What can we offer?
Our goal is to help artists integrate technology more deeply and meaningfully into their performances, installations or choreographies. We also share our residency & artistic network including workspacebrussels, KWP - Kunstenwerkplaats, Grand Theatre Groningen and Bâtard festival.

A technical residency is a development trajectory focused on experimentation, testing and prototyping. The duration can be up to 1 year, depending on the size of the project and the needed guidance. This method of creation ensures that technical elements are not added at the end of a project, but become integral to the artistic language.
Unlike short, production-oriented open calls and residencies, technical research requires time. Every element is developed and tested, then revised, rebuilt and tested again. This iterative process continues until a working prototype emerges — often followed by the development of a practical “plug-and-play” version.

In exchange for access to our facilities and long-term support, we ask residents to actively and respectully engage with the space, the process and the dialogue. We are here to exchange knowledge, ideas and share our network with you.
